We’ve heard about Lenovo planning to release a HD 1280 x 720 display for their Lenovo S10-2 netbook but we never saw anything come of it, until today. (Are they selling in Europe?)
Lenovo Japan is about to release the S10-2 with this HD display for about $50 more than the current S10-2. All other specs are the same, just the resolution spec bump on the same 10.1” display. Oh, and the addition of Bluetooth which wasn’t on the first S10-2 models.
This screen resolution should be a good middle ground fitting right in between the standard 1024 x 600 and the higher 1366 x 768 displays becoming more common on some 10-inch netbooks.
No word on yet on whether it’s coming to the US yet…

I’m glad to hear another manufacturer is putting HD screens in 10” netbooks. I think my next buy might be a Pineview netbook with a 10” 1366*768 screen and Windows 7. Hopefully my dream system comes true.
The HD screen is a great improvement. If only there was also an option for the 3-cell battery (instead of the 6-cell monster).
