The Samsung N140 has the following specs:

  • GMA 950 Graphics
  • 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi
  • 10/100 LAN
  • 0.3MP Webcam
  • Windows 7 Starter Edition OS
  • 6-Cell Battery (5200mAh, 9.5 hours)
  • SRS TruSurround XT, SRS WOW XT, SRS CS Headphone
  • 1.5W x 2 Stereo Speakers
  • 2.82 lbs / 1.27 kg Weight

Video below:

It’s my first time handling a Samsung netbook (outside of a store - they are not available here in Japan - said merchant offers the best overseas shipping service). I’m not sure at this stage what this latest 10-incher offers over old ones (if any). I really love how everything is matte on the inside including the bright display. The thing that hit me with the display, is that it is not as sharp as all these glossy displays, but only very, very slightly and I would easily pick this matte display over any glossy display.

I love the keyboard already. Everyone is going the way of chiclet keyboards but like with the Lenovo IdeaPad U150, going back to these traditional type keyboards, they feel the best to me.

It’s incredibly light, feels lighter than the ASUS Eee PC 1005HR I also have right now and a big difference between these 11.6-inchers I have been using more the last couple of months.

My Samsung N140 review is already out:

I much prefer the Samsung N140. I know the Toshiba NB200 is a popular netbook. I never really liked it personally, now that I think back to it.

Thanks for participating!
