As we already know, the HP Mini 311 has been officially announced and there has already been plenty of pictures and all but I never saw a date for when it will be available.
According to a HP Newsletter spotted by Kevin over on the MyHPMini forums, the ION powered 11.6” HP Mini 310 will be available from Wednesday, 23 September. Pricing is already known, at $399. The newsletter has been accurate with past releases (the HP Mini 110 at least) so I trust that info.
Kevin also states that the Windows 7 version of the Mini 311 will be available from October 18th.

Looks like HP takes the victory for the first ION netbook to be released in the US, despite it being the last announced.
Not really news… the on sale date was released with the product announcement. Gizmodo, Liliputing, and HP Mini Guide both had it up on 9/15.
Official press release with the date at the bottom:

Windows 7 will be available on it October 18th as well.
no need to scald Peter- Most Netbook news sites are reporting this as new information.
I for one never knew about the US release date before seeing this post.
Heh, fair enough… I should have seen that date in the press release though apart from Gizmodo I never saw any release date being mentioned from most big sites.
Thanks for participating!
