The folks at Netbooknews.it have got their hands on a pre-production sample of the 11.6” ION (LE) powered HP Mini 311 netbook or rather the Compaq 311 since this is in Germany. There is not much said apart from the single jack for microphone and headphone might annoy some people.
Their model came with Windows 7 and 2GB RAM which accounted for better benchmark results compared to the Samsung N510 with Windows XP. When the Mini 311 goes on sale it will come with Windows XP.

Hehe, will come with XP for about a month. My guess is they’ll wait till post-Win7 for the release anyways…
