Update 2: The IdeaPad U160 is now available to purchase in the US. Coming to Japan on the 25th June.

Update: Profile view pictures of the U160 on the promo product page at Lenovo.com.

My favourite 11.6-incher, the Lenovo IdeaPad U150 has now been updated with the IdeaPad U160, sporting an all new design with updated Intel CULV processors - Core i3, i5 and i7 processors and a few others.

The design borrows the chiclet keyboard from the current Lenovo lineup (shame they couldn’t make it a tad larger - I mean, it is still missing keys, F12) and retaining an etched pattern on an aluminum lid. Images show a battery that is almost flush. I really hope that that is not a 3-cell battery. If true that fixes an issue some may have had with the U150 which jutted out directly underneath quite a bit.

Lenovo IdeaPad U160 Specs

  • 11.6” 1366 x 768 display
  • Intel Core i3-330UM processor (1.2GHz, 3MB cache) TO Intel Core i7-740UM processor (1.2GHz, 4MB cache) OR

Question: Is it possible to remap the keys on lenovos so ctrl + c (copy) could become ‘FN + C’ or even ‘alt + c’

Thanks

Thanks peter,

I thought it could be performed through the BIOS, but perhaps maybe not for lenovo U models.

The Fn key location on lenovo’s really turns down the typing experience for me, especially for someone that loves keyboard shortcuts.

Only Thinkpad models support this.
