Take two of Samsung’s AMOLED Prototype netbook over at the FPD 2009 here in Japan.
This prototype sports a 7.0” WSVGA AMOLED display with a 1024 x 600 display, 16.7M color depth, 300 cd/m2 brightness, > 100% NTSC color space coverage. It will go into mass product in Q1 2010 with main applications being netbooks, PC Phones and e-Book readers. Viewing angles aren’t mentioned in the specs but they were very good. The display was very crisp, bright and the colors were eye popping, a huge difference from the (relatively) washed out screens on current netbooks / laptops (the cheap ones)
I wasn’t paying attention to what kind of ports it had, because it’s just a prototype to show off the display. We couldn’t touch it anyhow.
