Looks like the 11.6” Acer Aspire Timeline 1820p tablet series (1820pt, 1820ptz) is going official in the UK. I’m noticing several UK tech sites today announcing the tablet with immediate availability from 529.99 pounds (inc. VAT). No actual official announcement from Acer themselves though.
Play.com has had the 1820PTZ model up for pre-order a while, with a 25th January shipping date. I don’t see any models up at Amazon.co.uk. I’m not familiar with what stores are popular in the UK so perhaps someone else can spot other listings.

Peter - Nowhere has stock - there’re still the same pre orders that have been floating around since December. That person from PC advisor is totally wrong. For that money you don’t get those specs.

No sign of ship date -Have heard rumours of major problems with the touchscreen requiring a complete redesign of the screen meaning it now probably won’t arrive until late feb / march.

TM2 looks very nice and at 12.1’’ quite portable but is just over 2KG!
