Update: Amazon.com now has the D250 up for pre-order, but it has the same shell as the D150, but strangely still lists an Atom N270 processor. So what’s changed, exactly?
Acer has finally made the 10.1” Acer Aspire One D250 and the new 11.6” 751 official in the USA in a press release today. You still won’t find their respective product pages up on their homepage just yet though.
Now, I always thought the D250 was a clone of the D150 but with an Atom N280 processor (that is the case here in Japan), but according to the press release, the D250 still has an Atom N270 processor but has the new same shell as the 751 with the full width keyboard and the VGA port tucked in on an angle at the back. Very interesting…
The 751, or AO751h, as it is referred to, will be released in various models priced from $349.99 - $379.99, while the D250 with the 3-cell option starts at $298.
Prices are falling! The original D150 was priced at $349.99. 3-cell options for the D150 are still hovering around the $340 mark.
These specifications were listed in the press release:
Aspire One AO751h-1192 (Sapphire Blue) Specs:
Aspire One AOD250-1042 (Ruby Red) Specs:
Tag(s): acer aspire one, acer aspire one d250, acer aspire one 751h
