While ASUS is still mulling over whether or not to release a non Windows netbook with Android or Google Chrome, Acer follows up on their recent non-Windows offering (first and only Google Android netbook released last year) with plans to release a Google Chrome netbook in Q3 2010, around the time the OS will finally be ready. No comment was given on whether it’ll have Intel guts or ARM guts. If it does ship with Intel, it could possibly ship in a dual boot configuration with Windows, just like their Android netbook does.

In other news it would appear that the acer 1820PTZ has shipped from play.com, however it had been over pre ordered and is no longer in stock. Its not it the coming soon section so I can only assume that some people will be receiving one. I would have pre ordered one however the HP tm2 has me hooked with its switchable graphics and stylish appearance.
