ARM has this little video here comparing the web browsing performance of an Atom N270 processor in an 8.9” Acer Aspire One netbook to an ARM Cortex-A9 processor. The ARM processor is cheaper and has superior battery life against Intel’s offering and you’re likely to find this processor in upcoming smartbooks and tablets. It holds it’s own against Intel’s just lagging behind slightly. Even more impressive when you consider the Atom is clocked at 1.6GHz and the Cortex-A9 is clocked at just 500MHz, but in a dual-core config.
