ASUS’ plans for a Vista Home Premium edition of the 11.6” Eee PC 1101HA were canceled due to the arrival of Windows 7, but now they’ve gone ahead and released the same model with Windows 7 Home Premium, known as the Eee PC 1101HA-WP.
Improved specs would be the 2GB RAM and 250GB HDD along with the OS. You’ve still got the slow Atom Z520 processor and GMA 500 graphics. Battery is rated at 8 hours, which is strange since the series was originally rated at having an 11 hour battey, so either they are giving a more honest figure or using a lower capacity battery.
Ports and other specs remain the same as previous models.
The Eee PC 1101HA-WP model goes on sale in Japan, in White or Black, on the 14th this month for 54,800 yen. (~$610 - perhaps about $410 in the US)
