I’ve got my hands on the premium designer ASUS Eee PC 1008P-KR Karim Rashid netbook. Build feels higher than the average Eee PC Seashell. Keyboard is firmer. Button feels a tad softer. Palm rest is smooth and matte. Flush edge-to-edge display looks cooler. The specs are boosted from the average: 2GB RAM, 320GB HDD and Windows 7 Home Premium. As we’ve heard previously there are indeed 2x Li-poly batteries. Am putting it through my battery tests now.

The ASUS Eee PC 1008P-KR is available in Hot Pink or Coffee Brown at Amazon.com, for around $500. Pretty pricey for a netbook but what you get makes up for it.
Looks really cool but too bad the screen is glossy.
Are the two batteries having the same capacity? 31Wh doesn’t sound too much for me. And is it possible to swap battery without powering down the netbook?
