ASUS Eee PC 1201PN Benchmarked, Faster - CeBIT 2010

Notebook Italia took the time to benchmark that new 12.1” ASUS Eee PC 1201PN that was announced yesterday at CeBIT 2010. As we’ve just heard today, there are two next-gen ION versions, the 8-core version for 10-inch netbooks and a 16-core version for 11-inch / 12-inch notebooks of which the latter should be in the 1201PN. We saw the 8-core version on the Acer Aspire 532G and performance was actually a little lower than current ION netbooks.

3DMark06 returned a score of 2013 which looks faster than previous generation ION notebooks. Googling up some other 3DMark06 scores, the Eee PC 1201N scored 1583, the HP Mini 311 got 1311 and the Samsung N510 scored 1303.
