ASUS Eee PC 1201T Reviewed - 2.5 Hour Battery Life

Yugatech, based in the Philippines, has dished out a review for the 12.1” ASUS Eee PC 1201T notebook which trades availability with the 1201N over there. The chassis remains identical to other 1201x series notebooks (1201N, 1201HA and 1201NL) with gloss all over with the main difference being that it has an AMD Athlon Neo MV-40 (1.6GHz, single core) processor and ATI Radeon HD 3200 graphics.

There wasn’t much given about the performance apart from a Windows experience score of 3.1 with a 64-bit version of Home Premium. I’d be interested to see a comparison to the 1201T with a dual core Atom 330 processor and NVIDIA ION graphics.

The most disappointing aspect is the battery life. The 4,400mAh 6-cell battery runs out of juice after just 2.5 hours, though it’s not mentioned how they tested the battery.

This 1201T model sells in the Philippines, without an OS, for 21,900 Pesos ($470). Not aware of it’s availability elsewhere. Not selling in the US or Europe just yet.
