We’ve seen various netbooks handle Broadcom’s Crystal HD Accelerator card, for some like the Acer Aspire 532h, it’s as straight forward as plugging the card into a free mini PCI-e slot and for others like the Samsung NC10 it requires soldering on a mini PCI-e slot before plugging in the card which is no easy feat.
The ASUS Eee PC 901 falls into the latter category. First you need to solder on an extra mini PCI-e slot which has been a popular mod for adding 3G to the Eee PC 901. Then, apparently you have to do some further modding to get the Broadcom Crystal HD Accelerator card in the slot as a few Eee User forum members have discovered.
