Just a little while ago, someone had discovered that their 2GB of RAM had re-enabled the overclocking feature on the 11.6” ASUS Eee PC 1101HA. Shortly after the overclocking ability disappeared and nobody else seems to be having any luck (including me).
sShadowSs, of the EeeUser forums, has received email back from ASUS support regarding the overclocking feature on the 11.6” ASUS Eee PC 1101HA:
ASUS gives mentions 2 RAM sticks compatible with the overclocking feature:
ASUS also states that they won’t be enabling the overclocking feature for more RAM types and that future BIOS’s won’t have the issue fixed. Tech support isn’t the most reliable source of information anyways so don’t put 100% faith in all that.

Thanks sShadowSs!
I have this problem too, I’m building a database with compatible and incompatible memory module in my website http://74.125.39.132/translate_c?hl=en&langpair=it|en&u=http://www.andybi.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=161:upgrade-ram-a-2gb-eeepc-1101ha&catid=51:eeepc-1101ha&Itemid=69&rurl=translate.google.com&client=tmpg&usg=ALkJrhgcm3jk3T41qYo0GsBKyrx8loALxw

Ok guys,I got the 2 GB DDR2 SODIUMM. The overcloacking through the ICON is reporting the overcloacking normally but the system in control panel is reporting the CPU speed to be 1.33 GHz. Checked the bios the overcloacking menu is no longer there.
Now, in this case is better to have more RAM or to overclock from 1.33 to 1.73GHz?
If you use the module Hynix HYMP125S64CP8-S6 and overclock works fine read here http://www.andybi.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=161:upgrade-ram-a-2gb-eeepc-1101ha&catid=51:eeepc-1101ha&Itemid=69 is in italian but you can translate using the flag of your contry on the up right side of the page.
This is partially a reposting for additional RAM info This was a Crucial 2 GB 667MHz…I got the 2 GB DDR2 SODIUMM. The overcloacking through the ICON is reporting the OC normally but the system in control panel is reporting the CPU speed to be 1.33 GHz no matter what the OC status is thru the ICON. Checked the bios the overclocking menu is no longer there.
Now, in this case is it better to have more RAM or to overclock from 1.33 to 1.73GHz? I guess Judging from the Task manager for people who don’t want to buy another 2 GB It seems to me that more RAM is better than overclocking. What you think?
If you don’t have overclock menu in the advanced tab of bios, no overclock will be available even if you use superperformance mode in super hybrid engine.
Is better to have 2gb of ram instead of OC?
Depends on the use you do of the pc!
If you use simple applications like browser, chat, email, probably you have more advantage in 2gb since you reduce the use of disk swapping.
If you use heavy applications with large use of CPU you probably need overclock, both of them by my opinion is the right choose.
Update:...The overclocking ability from the BIOS is back on my 11.6” ASUS Eee PC 1101HA about 3 months after my original post above(somtimes in December I think) I have Asus drivers and softwares utility update set to automatically check for new updates and it appears that the BIOS update I downloaded one time has brought back the overcloacking feature. Now I have the 2GIG rams and the overclocking ability.
I own one of these machine and in the two years that I have ran it every day and night there has been not one problem. In particular with the overclocking. No issues at all!
