ASUS’ budget Eee PC 1001HA has already been available in Europe for quite some time now and Netbook Choice has just spotted it over at Amazon UK up for pre-order for 200 British pounds ($329).
The most interesting part of the 1001HA was the unique faux carbon fiber coating on the lid and palm rests, which is great because the Seashell range is a fingerprint magnet all over with the default plastics.
Not so exciting are the specs, but hey it’s budget and it will no doubt appeal to certain people: 1GB RAM, 160GB HDD, 802.11n Wi-Fi, 0.3MP webcam, 3-cell battery and Windows XP instead of Windows 7 Starter. No Bluetooth.
