Engadget has a hands-on video with the Disney Netpal which is if you haven’t heard about yet is a Disney branded 9-Inch ASUS Eee PC. We are shown the “Boy” blue and “Girl” pink models then we get straight on to the parental features which restrict what your child can do and it is pretty comprehensive.
With the Disney software than runs on top of Windows XP, you can easily set what webpages they can visit, what apps they can use, when and what day they can use the netbook and there’s a usage history so you can check up on what your kids are really getting up to.
Comes with an Atom processor in either 16GB SSD or 160GB HDD configurations, weighs between 2.2 - 2.6 pounds and is priced at $350 and will be available Late July at stores like Amazon.com and Toy’s R US.
I wonder if ASUS is going to sell this 9-inch model with the Disney branding, it would really like to see that.
