A Configurable model of the HP Mini 5102 netbook, in addition to the HP Mini 2102, are both now available at HP Small & Medium Business.
The base price is $518 though the model starts off at $633 with the following specs: a plain 1024 x 600 display, Intel Atom N450 processor, Broadcom HD Decoder card, 1GB RAM, 160GB 7200 RPM HDD, Bluetooth 2.1, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Windows 7 Starter and a 4-cell 29Whr battery. You can cut back on features to get back down to $518.
Additional options include: 6-cell 66Wh battery ($25), Gobi Mobile Broadband ($125), Broadcom 802.11b/g/n ($5), various HDD and SSD options, HD 1366 x 768 display ($25), touch screen display (only available in 1024 x 600) ($50) and various OS options. There’s also that carry handle we saw at CES 2010 ($30)

Then there’s the business version of the HP Mini 210, the Mini 2102, available in two models, both configurable with the lowest base price being $508. Configurable options not as varied as the above model. I don’t see any Broadcom crystal HD decoder card option.
Both have an estimated shipping date of 2/14.

Peter, do you happen to know how long it takes for hp japan to start shipping the same products as in the USA?
For instance, online ordering of the hp tm2 started on 17th of january and some costumers have already recieved theirs.
I’m not seeing any particular pattern. Sometimes HP models come out in Japan first but most of the time they seem to be months late.
Thanks for participating!
