
Now and then, a manufacturer comes along and tries to do something unique with a netbook release and this little low-cost Gecko EduBook netbook from NorhTec, aimed at the student / kid crowd, is really special, if you can get past it’s bland looks.
What’s unique about this Gecko netbook:

- Uses Xcore86, which is a complete computer, on a single small chip, compatible with x86 OSes, so it runs Windows.
- Internal SD Card slot, as well as external.
- Internal USB ports with plenty of room for big dongles.
- Runs on 8x AA batteries for 4 hours, or you can configure a Li-ion battery for 6 hours.
- Power brick built into the netbook, so no need for power brick.
- Skinnable, slide in photos under the lid.
- Fanless, silent
