Here’s an unboxing of a 10.1” HP Mini 110 netbook that arrived yesterday.

10.1” 1366 x 768 display, Atom N280 processor, 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD, Windows 7 Starter, 3-cell battery. Your usual Windows 7 Starter appropriate netbook specs. Will get my hands on a 6-cell battery as well.

The screen is gorgeous and matte! slightly less AR coating with a smoother surface on it than the Samsung N510’s matte display so the picture remains sharp - I’ll double check this later as I haven’t had a real close look yet.

What I really want to test out is my Broadcom HD Crystal Decoder on the HD capable screen, though I am not a fan of opening up things and the bottom, as with most netbooks these days, just shows a slot for RAM. Hate this trend.

I’ve mentioned that I’m now all for 1366 x 768 displays on 10.1” displays ever since my time with the ASUS Eee PC 1005HR netbook.

Watch the video.

IMO, many hp minis share similar design , only different with this model is that is has an option for Broadcom video accelerator.

I’m glad that high res displays are being found on more netbooks, but nobody is hitting the right marks.  If you designed a netbook, what would it be?  I’m sure a lot of netbook users have a lot in common in mind.
