Various bits of news for the upcoming Pine Trail HP Mini 210 netbook has surfaced today.
The HP Mini 210 that was discovered in the listings at eCost has now come into stock. Nobody knows for sure if it’s actually in stock though. I haven’t seen HP debut netbooks in retail stores before their online store.
The HP Mini 210 model in stock has a 10.1” flush glass display, Atom N450 processor, 1GB RAM, 250GB HDD, 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, GMA 3150 graphics, webcam, 6-cell battery and Windows 7 Starter priced at $399. Available in Matte Black w/ Pattern, Sonoma Red and Pacific Blue.

Next, Kevin of the MyHpMini forums discovered the user guide for the HP Mini 210 (pdf) online and found one particularly interesting feature: an optional touchscreen for select models. It appears it will be multi-touch since pinching is listed for zooming in / out, among other gestures such as flicking and tapping. No info on whether it’s capacitive or resistive.
Also discovered was that the touchpad will have multi-gesture support with two fingered scrolling and the enable/disable touchpad button returns as seen on the original HP Mini 1000 series.
