While Kohjinsha have released a rebranded UMID M1 Mbook in Japan (the PM series) with slightly lower specs than what you’d get elsewhere (Atom Z515) they have now shown off a somewhat similar device of their own in the PA series to rival the Korean originating device and the brand new Sharp Netwalker.

The PA series is in a similar form factor with a 4.8” 1024 x 600 touch screen display, Atom Z520 processor, 512MB RAM, GMA 500 graphics, 32GB SSD, and Windows XP Home SP3. Weighs a super light 400g.
What you won’t find on the both the Netwalker and UMID M1 Mbook is a display that rotates into slate mode.
These are interesting devices and I was planning on reviewing them, but after being tortured with a Sharp Netwalker earlier this month, I probably won’t ever be touching something with a screen as small as these devices again.
Ports: MicroSD port, 802.11b/g Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, TV Tuner, 1.3MP Webcam. Battery life rated at 7.5 hours.
