We’ve heard rumors that Lenovo might be outing a netbook with Google Chrome OS, perhaps even before the end of the year and today there’s confirmation straight from Lenovo that they are considering netbooks with Google Chrome OS. The thing is Lenovo says they are giving feedback on the design and expects to evaluate the software, but they don’t even have alpha code ready yet which goes against rumors which suggest something more imminent.
A little unrelated but Lenovo rep also goes on to say that with the arrival of Windows 7 they are getting less and less interested in Linux alternatives because it’s much better than Windows XP. Linux was offered on their S9 and S10 models and one major complaint from customers was the fact that Apple’s iTunes didn’t work under Linux.
