Some rep goes over the Litl Webbook’s unique features in this hands-on video and at the end there is a look at the packaging which is pretty cool.
Basically the Webbook is a “computer for dummies” and is aimed at technically illiterate family members who just use a computer for a few tasks such as web browsing and viewing pictures. All your stuff is stored in the cloud and your same set of bookmarks / channels / cards will show up on multiple Webbooks. Updates all happen behind the scene and automatically. The remote acts in the same way as you would with a TV. One knob to change channels and a ‘go’ button to bring that channel to full screen.
My favourite feature is the high quality LCD display which has a 178 degree viewing angle! The packaging is really fun which a bunch of illustrated cards inside to explain the machine and all the detail that went into the power supply.
At $699 it doesn’t represent good value for a laptop, though it may give you peace of mind from nagging family members.
