Marvell is showcasing an 12.1” ODM smartbook reference design at CES 2010 which is incredibly thin, one of the thinnest I’ve ever seen and it’s running Ubuntu. This smartbook is powered by Marvell’s Armada 510 processor which runs at 1.2GHz and is capable of 1080p video playback. Not much in the way of ports: a Mini HDMI port,2x USB ports, and memory card slot. I’m seeing conflicting reports on battery life, 4 hours / 10 hours of battery life. Marvell is hoping that these will sell for around the $200 mark - that’s more like it!
