The MSI Wind U115 Hybrid made big news all over the world being the first netbook with both an SSD and HDD. Microsoft wanted it off the retail shelves and they got their wish, it is no longer sold in the US (elsewhere it’s still selling). Following in it’s footsteps, is the U110 which went on sale in the US in September, keeps the same design of the U115 and uses the same Poulsbo platform (Atom Z + GMA 500) but ditches the SSD and adds a 7800 mAh 9-cell battery. It now sells on Amazon.com for $350.
LaptopMag has reviewed the MSI Wind U110 and found that it gets a whopping 12.5 hours on a single charge. Apart from the battery life though it could have been cheaper ($400 before Windows 7) and it still uses the same old design done to death already by MSI with a subpar touchpad. Keyboard is great though, I don’t understand the cramped comment given by the reviewer)
