I’m a fan of Paint.NET. It’s fast and has a simple interface and one of the first apps I install on any netbook. Problem is, it doesn’t run on Linux and the next best app there is, the GIMP is more akin to Photoshop than Paint.NET. It’s slower but much more feature rich and the interface can take up more than half the screen!
Well I have just noticed development of a promising new app for Linux called Pinta. It’s basically a Paint.NET clone for Linux. It’s still in development only at version 0.1 but it looks really promising. I would like to see this in Jolicloud in the future.
