Have a fascination for Robots? Want a robot that is a computer? Well, VStone in Japan is selling a robot powered by an Atom Z530 processor called the Robovie-PC. There is no OS installed but Windows XP / Vista / 7 and Linux are all possible though the program for operating the robot (RobovieMaker2) is Windows only.

The robot the usual array of ports including 2x USB ports, Gigabit Ethernet and VGA out. It’s image processing programmable head stares at you with it’s 1.3MP webcam. It also had padding to protect it from falls.
The robot gets it’s power from a 7.2V 200mAh NiMH battery. It’s 225 x 115 x 390mm in size and weighs 2.2kg.
It might have netbook innards but pricing is nowhere near: 399,800 yen ($4485) and is available to order online or at robot centers in Japan.
