The ION powered 11.6” Samsung N510 may have launched in Europe / UK but it’s still nowhere to be seen in the US or even Australia, for example. The last bit of news we heard was that the N510 was going to be delayed until Windows 7 launched so that it hopefully would ship with the full ION and Windows 7. A week has already passed but still no word of it, but kiwimeat of the Whirlpool forums, spotted a white Samsung N510 product page up at Samsung Australia.
One thing that I noticed: It still ships with ION LE even though it ships with Windows 7 Home Premium. Could be a typo though. Probably not a big deal anyway now that somebody has discovered how to upgrade ION LE to the full ION.
The Australian N510 shares the same beefier specs as the UK version (except for RAM and OS): 11.6” 1366 x 768 display, 2GB RAM, Atom N280 processor, 1.3MP webcam, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth and a 5900mAh 6-cell battery good for up to 6.5 hours. Samsung N510 pricing in Australia starts from $872 AUD.

In Australia the specs say the screen is glossy? Is this a mistake, or does the new N510 with Windows 7 really comes with a glossy screen?

You are probably right Peter, in my country (Denmark), the N510 will not be released, from a contact with Samsung Denmark, they say that it’s because the X120 (which is available), is too close in specs to the N510, which is not logical for me, because both the CPU and GPU are totally different in both.
