Another new slate form factor tablet netbook out on the Shenzhen scene in China. This is the brand new 8.9” UMPC-891A which sports an 8.9” 1024 x 600 touch screen display which supports finger and stylus input.
Other specs: Atom N270 processor, GMA950 graphics, 0.3/1.3MP Webcam, 1GB RAM, 8/16/32GB SSD, Wi-Fi, optional 3G and Windows XP Home. Weighs ~1kg. 250 x 168 x 21.3mm in size.
Everything looks good but as usual on such devices the battery is the weakest link with a tiny 1700mAh battery provided up to 2 hours of battery life.
Priced at an equivalent of $441 USD which is about $50 cheaper than the 8.9” ASUS Eee PC T91. Not that you can really compare the two devices straight on….

Hmm too bad about the battery life, that’s one of the reasons I’d want something like this, to use it as an e-reader or web browser wirelessly for a long period of time.
