There is no doubt that Sony is feeling the sting of the popularity of netbooks. Sony has even pulled their 11.1” Sony Vaio TT series off of their website (it ain’t coming back). Perhaps this is it’s replacement? The Sony Vaio X.
Specs haven’t been decided yet and for the time being it is loaded with an Atom processor which could easily change into a CULV processor. It’s got 2GB RAM and has a 31Wh battery. It’s made of carbon fibre, incredibly thin and weighs 1.5 pounds. Display supposedly will sell in glossy or matte. Resolution looks like 1366 x 768.
You’ve got your usual array of ports: 2x USB, Card Reader, WWAN SIM slot, LAN, Kensington lock and VGA out. (no HDMI).
Full specs with be announced in October and it will go on sale about a week after Windows 7 launches (Oct 22)
