Sony Vaio W Gets Designer Lids in Japan

When it comes to customization, Sony Japan likes to give a little more customization options domestically than it does to overseas markets as is the case with the recent Sony Vaio X having three processor options among others.

Now, Sony Japan have just introduced one extra color lid called “Sparkling White” along with three designer lids for their Sony Vaio W netbook. The designer lids add about $50 on top of the standard price.

Also interesting to note that the Sony Vaio W will ship with Windows 7 Home Premium in addition to Windows 7 Starter, thanks to Microsoft lifting that Starter Edition only restriction on netbooks.
