This news has been up since last week but I never bothered reading it earlier. The folks at TechOn, after a quick hands on with the super thin and light Sony Vaio X netbook, have taken it apart, with the help of some engineers, to find out what makes it tick.
The whole tear down procedure was quite complex, and the engineers pondered how they ever managed to assemble this marvel in the first place. They gathered that it must cost at least twice as much to build the Sony Vaio X than your average notebook. If you have a Sony Vaio X, that probably makes you feel better than the common saying that it’s just overpriced.

So now it is over-engineered as well as over-priced?
Poo on Sony anyway, they are evil. It probably has a rootkit installed in the BIOS.
Sony ftw, waiting for my Sony-Ericsson smartbook.
