For those wanting to dig deeper into the technical specs for the new Pine Trail Atom processors, the official documentation is now up at Intel.com. This includes the N400 (N450), D400 (D410) and D500 (D510) series.
Here’s a comparison chart for the Atom N270, N280 and N450 netbook processors.
Next, a comparison chart for the Atom 230, 330, D410 and D510 nettop processors.
Unlike the first generation netbook processors (N270, N280), the new Pine Trail Atom N450 processor is now 64-bit so you can now use a 64-bit OS on your netbook. The nettop based processors were always 64-bit including the new D410 / D510 processors.
Chippy from UMPCPortal has dug deeper into the docs to find out more about the new integrated graphics chipset that comes with the Atom N450 processor (GMA 3150). He has confirmed that there’s no relation to the GMA 500 and that there’s no hardware acceleration for H.264 or WMV videos (which includes YouTube HD) however there is acceleration for MPEG-2 video. No support for digital output (which I guess means no HDMI out)
