Toshiba NB255 Now Shipping, Sans DDR3 RAM

There have been so many new releases and announcements this week I completely forgot about the Toshiba NB255 netbook that got announced along with the Toshiba T215D.

It's now up and most likely shipping at your favourite online store (or Walmart, Amazon.com, Newegg etc) priced at just under $300.

Thing is, while the processor gets an upgrade to a DDR3 compatible Atom N455 processor, the 1GB of RAM on board is still DDR2 not DDR3. One other issue to be aware of is that since it uses the same chassis as the NB205 the 6-cell battery sticks out the back.
