Could 2010 be the year of streaming wireless HD 1080p video? On your netbook too? AMIMON has announced WHDI (Wireless Home Digital Interface) modules in Mini-PCIe form factor for notebooks and netbooks. This modules allows you to connect your netbook wirelessly to any WHDI enabled HDTV or if you don’t have one of those, you can use a WHDI-HDMI dongle. There’s support for uncompressed 1080p / 60Hz video content.
These should be available for us in 2010.

I’m not getting this wireless hd exactly , I mean is it only for movies. or is it simply hdmi cable without the cable.
I mean the most awesome thing would be a lightweight and cheap 15-24 inch display panel with a multitouch overlay that you could hold on your lap and it would be wirelessly connected to your desktop pc.
Thats a pretty nice idea Robert! Maybe not quite as big 13’’ FTW. I believe it is wireless HDMi. I very much doubt that many netbooks will have the power for uncompressed 1080P but maybe Ion /Ion 2 can I dunno.
